Trail Summary: The Colorado Trail is a 485 mile hike that starts near Denver and ends in Durango, Colorado. With rain incoming, we got up early the next morning to push through the remaining 10 miles. Several were doing day hikes over a portion of the Colorado Trail. There are dozens of access points to the CTâs 567 miles of trail. It's one of my favorites--incredibly scenic, but also challenging, with 5,196 ft of elevation change (up) and 5,968 feet of elevation change (down).
