If you have trouble locating birds, those areas along the Blue River, Eagle Creek and along Hwy 191 from Strayhorse to Rose Peak offer the best alternatives to the high elevation areas that most are used to hunting. Deep snow is common at the higher elevations and present at lower elevations. Always be sure of your target before shooting and practice safe firearms handling techniques.
